1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
capturing one or more x-ray shot images into a computing system;
estimating an unknown constellation model and one or more shot geometries with respect to a coordinate system, wherein the coordinate system is defined by an unknown constellation of markers, the unknown constellation of markers are identified from the one or more captured x-ray shot images, the one or more captured x-ray shot images are from a portable or movable x-ray generator or detector; and
reconstructing a volume image from the one or more captured shot images and the one or more geometries using computed tomography.
