1. A computer-implemented method, performed by at least one processor, the method comprising:
in response to detecting (i) a predetermined gesture performed by a user of a head-worn device and (ii) a presence of a quick-response (QR) code within a field of view (FOV) of the user:
switching a camera of the head-worn device from a stand-by mode to an active mode; and
capturing, via the camera of the head-worn device, image data of the FOV of the user, the image data including the QR code;
displaying virtual content based on the QR code to the user at the head-worn device; and
updating the virtual content in response to a navigation command performed by the user.
