1. A wearable ring device configured to be worn on a finger of a user, the wearable ring device comprising:
a housing having an interior diameter between 12 mm and 24 mm, an exterior diameter between 18 mm and 30 mm, and a thickness between 1.5 mm and 3 mm, the housing comprising:
an external housing comprising an exterior surface of the wearable ring device; and
an internal housing comprising an interior surface of the wearable ring device, wherein the external housing and the internal housing are coupled together, wherein the housing encloses a curved battery, a printed circuit board, one or more components, and one or more processors, wherein at least a portion of the internal housing is configured to contact the user when the wearable ring device is worn by the user, and wherein the curved battery has a size and shape configured to fit within a curved portion of the housing,
wherein the one or more components are configured to support monitoring at least one of physical activity, sleep, or health of the user, and wherein the one or more components comprise:
a light emitting diode (LED) and a light sensor;
a temperature sensor configured to measure skin temperature of the user; and
an accelerometer, a gyroscope, or both, configured to detect movement of the user, and
wherein the one or more processors are electrically coupled with the one or more components, and wherein the one or more processors are individually or in combination configured to cause the wearable ring device to:
determine that the movement detected by the accelerometer, the gyroscope, or both is indicative of a gesture; and
transmit a signal in response to the gesture being determined, wherein the signal is configured to cause one or more external devices to perform one or more functions, and wherein the one or more functions comprise unlocking the one or more external devices, powering on or off the one or more external devices, performing a click or a swipe on the one or more external devices, executing a media player control associated with the one or more external devices, executing a phone call, or any combination thereof.
