1. A medical visualization system for viewing a middle ear region, comprising:
a tympanic membrane lens assembly having an outer diameter of 1 mm to 5 mm and being mountable to a tympanic membrane to facilitate visualization through the tympanic membrane and into a middle ear region, wherein the tympanic membrane lens assembly comprises a widefield lens at a distal-most end of the tympanic membrane lens assembly such that the widefield lens is positioned interiorly to the tympanic membrane when the tympanic membrane lens assembly is mounted to the tympanic membrane, and wherein a proximal-most end of the tympanic membrane lens assembly is configured to transfer an image of the middle ear region captured by the widefield lens and is positioned externally to the tympanic membrane when the tympanic membrane lens assembly is mounted to the tympanic membrane.
