1. A coupling device for connecting a drive shaft of an actuator to a driven shaft of an exhaust-gas valve, the coupling device defining a rotational axis and comprising:
a torsionally rigid retainer comprising a hollow cylindrical body with an axially extending slot, the hollow cylindrical body comprising a staged diameter including at least a narrow section that includes a recess and a wide section wider than the narrow section, the wide section including the axially extending slot;
a coupling rod received in the slot and configured to translationally move relative to the retainer in a direction of the rotational axis, wherein opposite edges of the slot are distanced apart from another by a distance corresponding to an exterior diameter of the coupling rod such that the coupling rod has no rotational play in the corresponding slot; and
an elastic element configured to bias the coupling rod in the direction of the rotational axis and having an attachment section fixed to the retainer, wherein the retainer and the coupling rod are non-rotatably connected.
