1. A method for controlling a load-handling crane, the load-handling crane having a load-bearing means and a handling device for an operator secured to the load-bearing means, the load-handling crane having a travel drive, the travel drive comprising a trolley drive and/or a crane drive, said method comprising:
providing a sensor system;
ascertaining with the sensor system position data of a part secured to the load-bearing means;
providing a controller and connecting the controller to the sensor system in a signal-transmitting manner;
generating with the controller a control command and specifying, based on the position data ascertained by the sensor system, a travel direction for the control command, for the travel drive of the load-handling crane;
providing at least one marking element attached to the handling device, the marking element having a predefined, unique, identification feature; and
detecting with the sensing system the marking element in order to ascertain the position data and the predefined unique identification feature of the marking element; and
analyzing the marking element to unambiguously identify the marking element.
