1. A computer-implemented method that, when executed by data processing hardware, cause the data processing hardware to perform operations comprising:
establishing a map of one or more support vehicles adjacent to a host vehicle including calculating an angle between a heading of the host vehicle and a heading of each of the one or more support vehicles to determine a relative position of each of the one or more support vehicles and the host vehicle;
determining available sensor support of the one or more support vehicles;
storing the available sensor support in memory hardware connected to the host vehicle;
determining whether there has been a change in a gear status of the host vehicle;
receiving sensor data from the one or more support vehicles;
maintaining sensor data of the host vehicle with the sensor data of the one or more support vehicles based on the gear status of the host vehicle;
maintaining a connection with the one or more support vehicles; and
waking up the one or more support vehicles from a sleep mode when there has been a change in gear status of the host vehicle.
