1. A thermoacoustic insulation material for a generator set comprising:
a facing comprising a metallized polymeric infrared heat reflective film;
a fibrous structure including one or more nonwoven material layers comprising a fiber matrix formed by distributing fibers via an air laying process or a carding and lapping process;
wherein the fiber matrix comprises polymeric binder fibers comprising polyethylene terephthalate (PET); modified PET; co-PET; a blend of polyamide/PET; or a combination thereof; and wherein at least a portion of the polymeric binder fibers have a length of about 70 mm or less;
wherein the facing is laminated to the fibrous structure;
wherein the fibrous structure has open spaces between the fibers to allow for evaporation of moisture or the fibrous structure does not retain moisture such that there is no mold growth or mildew growth within the thermoacoustic insulation material; and
wherein the thermoacoustic insulation material has a total thickness of about 100 mm or less.
