1. A simulation system, comprising:
a processor;
a head-mounted display;
a position sensing device; and
a storage device having instructions stored therein that, when executed, cause the processor to:
(a) receive user characteristics associated with a user in a physical environment where the position sensing device is disposed;
(b) generate and display a 3-dimensional virtual environment in the head-mounted display;
(c) select a destination location in the virtual environment;
(d) receive from the position sensing device first position data over a period of time, wherein the first position data includes a first plurality of positions of the user in the physical environment;
(e) develop second position data from the first position data, wherein the second position data includes a second plurality of positions associated with the user in the virtual environment;
(f) determine from the second position data, a path and a first amount of time required for the virtual user to move from a predetermined starting location in the virtual environment to the destination location in the virtual environment;
(g) develop a second amount of time from the first amount of time in accordance with the user characteristics;
(h) select predetermined content from a plurality of predetermined content in accordance with the path and the second amount of time.
