1. A method of making a pouch for at least partially enclosing or encasing an implantable medical device, the method comprising acts of:
(i) covering a three-dimensional collector with resorbable polymeric spun fibers to form a pouch about the collector and the collector forming a three-dimensional cavity within the pouch, wherein the pouch is formed with an internal surface defining the cavity and an outer surface facing outwardly, wherein act (i) includes forming the internal surface to be smoother than the outer surface, and wherein act (i) includes forming the pouch with a ratio of outer surface roughness to internal surface roughness from 3/2 to 3/1;
(ii) cutting an opening into the cavity of the pouch with the opening having a size which permits removal of the pouch from the collector and insertion of the implantable medical device into the pouch; and
(iii) removing the pouch from the collector through the opening.
