1. A sheath remover for removing a protective needle sheath, the sheath remover comprising:
a ring of a resilient material that allows inward deflection of the ring;
a first resilient leg extending from the ring, the first resilient leg including a first interior surface;
a second resilient leg extending from the ring, the second resilient leg including a second interior surface;
a catch defined by one or more of the first and second resilient legs, the catch configured for engaging a protective needle sheath; and
a cavity defined by the interior surfaces of the first and second resilient legs and sized to receive the protective needle sheath, the catch disposed in the cavity,
wherein a diameter of the cavity at a distal end of the cavity is larger than a diameter of the cavity at a proximal end of the cavity when the first and second resilient legs are in a relaxed state.

9. A sheath remover assembly, the assembly comprising:
a sheath remover including:
a ring having a distal end and a proximal end; and
a first leg extending beyond the proximal end of the ring, the first leg having an interior surface of the first leg and an exterior surface of the first leg opposite the interior surface of the first leg;
a second leg extending beyond the proximal end of the ring, the second leg having an interior surface of the second leg and an exterior surface of the second leg opposite the interior surface of the second leg;
a catch defined by one or more of the first and second legs, the catch configured for engaging a protective needle sheath;
a cavity defined by the interior surfaces of the first and second legs and sized to receive the protective needle sheath, the catch disposed in the cavity; and
a cap including:
a proximal section, a distal section, and an interior volume defined by the proximal and distal sections and sized to receive the sheath remover; and
an interior surface of the cap configured for engaging with an outer surface of the ring when the ring is disposed in the interior volume of the cap.
