1. A method for detecting binding between a soybean antigen and an antibody that specifically binds to the soybean antigen present in a sample,
wherein the method uses a kit that comprises the soybean antigen,
wherein the soybean antigen is a Bowman-Birk type proteinase inhibitor D-II antigen comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2,
wherein the soybean antigen specifically binds to IgE antibody from a patient having allergy to soybean, wherein the soybean antigen is immobilized to a carrier or a surface,
wherein the method comprises:
(i) contacting the antibody in the sample with the soybean antigen from the kit, and
(ii) detecting binding between said soybean antigen and the antibody in the sample.
