1. A surgical assistance system comprising:
a processing unit; and
a non-transitory computer-readable memory communicatively coupled to the processing unit and comprising computer-readable program instructions executable by the processing unit for:
optically obtaining tracking data in real time using a first tracking apparatus during surgical procedure, the first tracking apparatus including references attached to at least one bone and/or at least one tool;
optically obtaining a video feed of the surgical procedure using a camera separate from the first tracking apparatus;
training a machine learning module using at least the video feed and the tracking data to perform tracking; and
outputting the machine learning module parametrized to output tracking data with the video feed from the camera and without the tracking data from the first tracking apparatus and without references attached to at least one bone and/or at least one tool;
on a user interface, outputting tracking data with the video feed from the camera and without the tracking data from the first tracking apparatus and without references attached to at least one bone and/or at least one tool in a subsequent surgical procedure;
wherein the tracking data includes a position and/or orientation a bone and/or a tool in a referential system.
