1. A surgical instrument comprising:
(a) an end effector comprising:
(i) a first jaw,
(ii) a second jaw movable relative to the first jaw from an open position to a closed position,
(iii) a firing bar movable through a firing stroke from a stroke start position to a stroke end position when the first and second jaws are in the closed position, and
(iv) a motor operatively coupled with the firing bar; and
(b) a circuit assembly, wherein the circuit assembly comprises:
(i) a power source,
(ii) a first circuit configured to establish electrical communication between the power source and the motor, wherein the first circuit includes a resistor configured to provide a reduced current to the motor,
(iii) a second circuit configured to establish electrical communication between the power source and the motor and provide a full current to the motor, and
(iv) a stroke position switch electrically connected to both the first circuit and the second circuit, wherein the stroke position switch is configured to transition from a first position to a second position when the firing bar advances from the stroke start position to a predetermined position that precedes the stroke end position, wherein the stroke position switch in the first position is configured to provide electrical communication between the power source and the motor via the first circuit, and the stroke position switch in the second position is configured to provide electrical communication between the power source and the motor via the second circuit.
