1. A method for device to device (D2D) communication by a sender user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
identifying a first part of a destination identifier (ID) for identifying target of data for the D2D communication, and a second part of the destination ID, wherein the second part of the destination ID is different from the first part of the destination ID;
transmitting control information including the first part of the destination ID to a receiver UE, wherein the first part of the destination ID is used for filtering packets at a physical layer of the receiver UE; and
transmitting a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) including a MAC header including the second part of the destination ID to the receiver UE, wherein the second part of the destination ID is used for filtering packets at a MAC layer of the receiver UE.
