1. A method, comprising:
based on a capability of a user equipment, determining, by network equipment comprising a processor, that a port combination selected from a group of port combinations increases a peak-to-average power ratio value; and
based on the determining that the port combination increases the peak-to-average power ratio value, removing, by the network equipment, the port combination as a candidate port combination for assignment to the user equipment.
