1. A multilayer coil component comprising:
an element body that includes an insulator portion and a coil embedded in the insulator portion, with a groove-shaped void portion existing at a boundary between the coil and the insulator portion, the void portion extending in a length direction of the coil, the coil having a ridge in the void portion, and the ridge extending in the length direction of the coil, the coil including a first wall protrusion extending from a first edge of the coil and a second wall protrusion extending from a second edge of the coil, the first and second wall portions extending in the length direction of the coil and forming opposite surfaces of the void portion on opposite sides of the ridge along the length direction of the coil; and
outer electrodes disposed on surfaces of the insulator portion and electrically connected to ends of the coil.
