1. A method of determining the zygosity of a Brassica napus plant or seed comprising event MON 88302, wherein a representative sample of seed comprising said event has been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-10955, said method comprising:
a) contacting a sample comprising DNA with a primer set comprising SEQ ID NO: 12, SEQ ID NO: 13, and SEQ ID NO: 14, that when used in a nucleic acid amplification reaction with genomic DNA from event MON 88302 produces a first amplicon that is diagnostic for event MON 88302, and that when used in a nucleic acid amplification reaction with genomic DNA from a plant that does not comprise event MON 88302 produces a second amplicon comprising the native genomic DNA region spanning the insertion location of event MON 88302;
b) performing a nucleic acid amplification reaction, thereby producing said first amplicon, said second amplicon, or both said first amplicon and said second amplicon; and
c) detecting said first amplicon, said second amplicon, or both said first amplicon and said second amplicon, wherein the presence of only said first amplicon indicates that said sample is homozygous for event MON 88302, and wherein the presence of both said first amplicon and said second amplicon indicates that the sample is heterozygous for event MON 88302.
