1. An anticancer composition, comprising:
a dithiocarbamate gold (III) complex of formula (I),

OG Complex Work Unit Chemistry
and
a second therapeutic agent with cytotoxic activity selected from the group consisting of daunorubicin, doxorubicin, idarubicin, mitomycin, actinomycin, and epirubicin;
wherein:
R1 and R2 are each independently a hydrogen or an ethyl;
R3 and R4 are each independently a hydrogen;
and X is Cl or Br.
