1. A method of making a catalytic article, the method comprising:
a. preparing a first catalyst composition comprising a blend of (1) platinum on a support, and (2) a first SCR catalyst,
wherein the support comprises at least one of zeolite or SiO2—Al2O3 mixed oxide, and
wherein preparing the first catalyst composition comprises fixing the platinum on the support in solution; and
wherein the first SCR catalyst comprises a base metal, an oxide of a base metal, a molecular sieve, a metal exchanged molecular sieve, a metal oxide, a mixed oxide, or a mixture thereof;
b. preparing a second catalyst composition comprising a second SCR catalyst, wherein the second SCR catalyst comprises a base metal, an oxide of a base metal, a molecular sieve, a metal exchanged molecular sieve, a metal oxide, a mixed oxide, or a mixture thereof;
c. applying the first catalyst composition to a substrate having an inlet and an outlet to create a first coating;
d. applying the second catalyst composition to the substrate to create a second coating.
