1. A vascular closure device comprising:
a delivery device that is elongate along a longitudinal direction, the delivery device having a distal end and a proximal end spaced from the distal end along the longitudinal direction a release component that is elongate along the longitudinal direction, and a delivery component that extends along the release component along the longitudinal direction;
an anchor that is at least partially captured by the delivery device;
a suture attached to the anchor and that extends along the delivery device in a proximal direction toward the proximal end of the delivery device;
a tensioner having a drag member through which the suture extends; and
at least one actuator that is coupled to the suture and the delivery device,
wherein the at least one actuator is configured to move one or more components of the delivery device to release the anchor from the delivery device and apply a tensional force to the suture;
wherein the release component defines a first engagement member and the at least one actuator includes a second engagement member that is engaged with the first engagement member such that rotation of the at least one actuator causes the release component to translate along the longitudinal direction.
