1. An unmanned aerial vehicle-based data collection and distribution system comprising:
a source of animal data that is electronically transmittable, the source of animal data including at least one sensor, the animal data being collected from at least one target individual;
an unmanned aerial vehicle that receives the animal data from the source of animal data as a first set of received animal data, the unmanned aerial vehicle having a transceiver operable to receive one or more signals from the source of animal data and to send one or more control signals to the source of animal data;
a computing device that is operable to receive at least a portion of the first set of received animal data; and
a monitoring system that is configured to monitor distribution of animal data to one or more third parties or target individuals for consideration, the monitoring system being further configured to select one or more individuals to monitor with the at least one sensor and to identify which sensor or sensors are to be operated.
