1. A method for a terminal to operate in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
initiating a small data transmission (SDT) procedure; and
monitoring a paging channel, while the initiated SDT procedure is ongoing and a timer is not running,
wherein the timer is associated with handling a failure in resumption of a radio resource control (RRC) connection,
wherein the paging channel is monitored based on that i) the SDT procedure is associated with configured grant (CG) SDT, and ii) an extended CG SDT periodicity is configured, and
wherein the extended CG SDT periodicity is used to calculate a transmission periodicity for uplink that corresponds to a resource being determined using hyper system frame number (H-SFN) information and system frame number (SFN) information,
wherein the extended CG SDT periodicity is defined by at least one of n*14*1280 or n*12*1280, where n is a periodicity configuration value.
