1. A method of encoding point cloud data, the method comprising:
encoding geometry data of point cloud data based on an octree;
encoding attribute data of the point cloud data; and
generating syntax information including information for representing whether or not the geometry data is encoded based on an angular mode for angular coordinates, and information for representing an identifier of a slice for the geometry data,
wherein the geometry data is encoded based on a maximum value related to the angular coordinates,
wherein the geometry data, the attribute data and the syntax information are included in a bitstream.
