1. A method performed by a device, the method comprising:
receiving, through radio resource control (RRC) signaling, information for configuring a code block group (CBG)-based downlink reception, the information including a number of CBGs supported for 1 transport block (TB);
receiving, through a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling a data reception;
performing, based on the DCI, the data reception; and
transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) response including ACK/negative-ACK (ACK/NACK) information for the data reception,
wherein the device determines, based on the DCI, whether to configure the ACK/NACK information in the HARQ-ACK response as a CBG-based HARQ-ACK or as a TB-based HARQ-ACK.
