1. A method for manufacturing a solid electrolyte sheet containing β-alumina and/or β″-alumina and having a thickness of 1 mm or less and a voidage of 20% or less, the method comprising the steps of:
(a) making raw material powder containing Al2O3 as a main component into a slurry;
(b) applying the slurry on a base material and drying the slurry to obtain a green sheet having a thickness of 0.1 to 1.8 mm; and
(c) isostatically pressing the green sheet and then firing the green sheet to produce β-alumina and/or β″-alumina; wherein
the raw material powder consists of, in % by mole, 65 to 98% Al2O3, 13.7 to 20% Na2O, 5.5 to 10% of MgO, 4.7 to 15% ZrO2, 0.2 to 5% Y2O3.
