1. One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform a method for obtaining a confirmation that a viewer viewed a video, the method comprising:
causing display of, at a first portion of a display of a client device, the video to the viewer;
capturing, via a camera and for at least a portion of a duration of the display of the video on the client device, at least a portion of a face of the viewer,
wherein the captured portion of the face of the viewer is based on a field of view of the camera;
causing display of, at a second portion of the display of the client device, the captured portion of the face of the viewer for the portion of the duration of the display of the video;
in response to the portion of the face of the viewer no longer being captured, pausing the video;
determining, based on the portion of the face of the viewer, whether a captured emotion of the viewer is of a predefined type of emotion;
in response to the captured emotion being of the predefined type of emotion, pausing the video; and
upon completion of the display of the video to the viewer, obtaining the confirmation from the viewer that the viewer watched the video for the duration of the display of the video on the client device.
