1. A method of displaying biological image data in an interface application on a digital pathology analysis system, comprising:
visualizing one or more first biological image tiles of a plurality of biological image tiles, wherein the one or more first biological image tiles pertain to a patient case, are derived from scans of microscope slides having one or more biological samples disposed thereon, and are associated with a first magnification level;
receiving a user input pertaining to the patient case;
after receiving the user input, contacting a remote server storing location information associated with the plurality of biological image tiles, wherein one or more second biological image tiles of the plurality of biological image tiles are associated with a second magnification level greater than the first magnification level;
receiving location information for one or more second biological image tiles from the remote server,
retrieving the one or more second biological image tiles based on the location information; and
visualizing the one or more second biological image tiles.
