1. A personal health system for promoting healthy choices to one or more users, the personal health system comprising:
a non-transitory computer-readable memory storing a knowledge base, the knowledge base including a plurality of tuples, wherein each tuple includes a condition, one or more factors that affect the condition, and a relationship that describes how the one or more factors affect the condition, wherein one or more of the conditions relate to physical activity;
at least one computing device including a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium coupled with the processor and storing a personal health platform having a user interface, wherein when executed by the processor the personal health platform is operable to:
obtain, via the user interface, personal characteristics of the user, the personal characteristics including a life stage of the user, a first amount of time spent by the user doing a first level of physical activity within a predetermined period, a second amount of time spent by the user doing a second level of physical activity within the predetermined period, a third amount of time spent by the user doing a third level of physical activity within the predetermined period and a number of resistance training sessions during the predetermined period, wherein the third level of physical activity is more strenuous than the second level of physical activity which is more strenuous than the first level of physical activity;
calculate a preliminary physical activity score according to an algorithm: PPAS=(factor A*a combination of the first amount and the second amount)+(factor B*the third amount), where PPAS is the preliminary physical activity score and values of the factors A and B are based on the life stage of the user, wherein the life stage of the user is one or more of a child, pregnant, lactating, an adolescent, an adult and elderly;
calculate a physical activity score by adjusting and combining the preliminary physical activity score with a resistance score, wherein the resistance score is based on the number of resistance training sessions during the predetermined period and the life stage of the user;
generate and display a digital image on the computing device, the digital image including the physical activity score for the user; and
provide a navigation user interface that:
enables the user to select one or more of the conditions as desired conditions;
generates a navigation digital image that concurrently displays one or more relationship strength features adjacent to a network web, wherein the network web graphically illustrates nodes representing the desired conditions and visible connections between each of the nodes and one or more related factors of the factors that have an identified relationship with the desired conditions according to the tuples that include the desired conditions, wherein the visible connections graphically indicate how the one or more related factors affect the desired conditions;
includes a highlight feature that displays a list of the related factors and the desired conditions of the network web as concurrently displayed, and enables selection of a subset of the related factors and the desired conditions;
enables the user to selectively input changes to one or more relationship strength threshold values associated with the desired conditions using the relationship strength features; and
dynamically alters the network web as concurrently displayed based on the input changes to the relationship strength threshold values, wherein the altering of the network web is such that the one or more related factors included in the network web is modified to only be a set of the related factors whose identified relationship to the desired conditions, according to the tuples that include the desired conditions, falls within one or more relationship strength ranges defined by the relationship strength threshold values for the desired conditions,
wherein the navigation user interface includes an article tab feature that, upon selection of one of the conditions, generates a documentation page including:
a document identifier that identifies a document that connects the one of the conditions to one of the factors of the one of the conditions; and
an excerpt of the document that indicates a connection between the one of the conditions and the one of the factors.
