1. A device to perform sound detection, comprising:
a memory including a buffer configured to store audio data;
one or more processors, coupled to the memory, configured to:
receive the audio data from the buffer;
detect the presence or absence of one or more target non-speech sounds in the audio data; and
generate a user interface signal, to indicate that one of the one or more target non-speech sounds have been detected, and provide the user interface signal to a display device; and
the display device is configured to output a visual representation identifying a type of the one or more target non-speech sounds that has been detected.
