1. Eyewear comprising:
a controller;
lenses;
a support structure configured to be worn on a head of a user and to support the controller and the lenses;
a light source coupled to the controller and supported by the support structure, the light source controlled by the controller based on a lighting pattern selected by the user to indicate at least one of whether images are being recorded, whether video is being recorded, or whether sound is being recorded; and
a light diffuser on a surface of the support structure, the light diffuser positioned to diffuse light emitted by the light source using microstructures to direct light having the lighting pattern toward at least one of an eye of the user or towards an observer in proximity of the user.
