1. An optical laminate comprising:
a polarizer; and
a first protective layer and a retardation layer that are sequentially stacked on a light incidence surface of the polarizer,
wherein the retardation layer comprises at least a positive C layer, and a laminate of the first protective layer and the retardation layer has a photoelastic coefficient of about 2×1031 13 cm2/dyne or less and a modulus of about 2,000 MPa to about 4,000 MPa, as measured in an absorption axis direction of the polarizer in the optical laminate,
wherein the laminate of the first protective layer and the retardation layer has a modulus variation rate of about −3% to about 0%, as calculated according to the following Equation 1:
Modulus variation rate={(B−A)/A}×100,
where, in Equation 1, A denotes the modulus of the laminate of the first protective layer and the retardation layer in the absorption axis direction of the polarizer, and B denotes a modulus of the laminate of the first protective layer and the retardation layer in the absorption axis direction of the polarizer, as measured after being left at 105° C. for 1 hour.
