1. A radar system adapted to emit a very high instantaneous bandwidth (IBW) radar signal, the radar system comprising:
a first transmit channel including:
a first path of the first transmit channel including a first local oscillator (LO) adapted to generate a first LO signal;
the first path of the first transmit channel further including a first mixer adapted to mix a first analog intermediate frequency (IF) signal with the first LO signal to form a first analog radio frequency (RF) signal; and
a second path of the first transmit channel adapted to receive the first LO signal and to output a first modified analog signal, the first modified analog signal adapted to address leakage of the first LO signal in the first analog RF signal;
wherein the second path of the first transmit channel includes a first attenuator and a first phase shifter, the first attenuator and the first phase shifter adapted to operate in conjunction to form the first modified analog signal; and
a second transmit channel including:
a first path of the second transmit channel including a second LO adapted to generate a second LO signal;
the first path of the second transmit channel further including a second mixer adapted to mix a second analog IF signal with the second LO signal to form a second analog RF signal; and
a second path of the second transmit channel adapted to receive the second LO signal as input and to output a second modified analog signal, the second modified analog signal adapted to address leakage of the second LO signal in the second analog RF signal;
wherein the second path of the second transmit channel includes a second attenuator and a second phase shifter, the second attenuator and the second phase shifter adapted to operate in conjunction to form the second modified analog signal;
wherein the radar signal is based upon the first analog RF signal, the first modified analog signal, the second analog RF signal, and the second modified analog signal.
