1. A luminaire comprising:
an outer housing; and
a wireless communications module mounted within a space enclosed by the outer housing, the wireless communications module including an antenna, the wireless communications module having an operating range of wavelengths,
wherein the outer housing comprises at least first and second portions, wherein the first portion comprises an electrically conductive mesh with a first opening size to provide transparency to RF signals within the operating range of wavelengths, wherein at least a part of the electrically conductive mesh of the first portion is located aligned with a field of view of the antenna of the wireless communications module, and the second portion comprises an electrically conductive mesh with a second opening size, smaller than the first opening size.
