1. A method of reducing a setting time of a cement slurry, the method comprising:
placing a cement slurry in an interior of a casing;
when the cement slurry is in the interior of the casing, introducing a fluid pill to the interior of the casing to displace the cement slurry to an annular region of the casing, the fluid pill comprising reactants formulated to exothermically react to generate heat; and
heating the cement slurry in the annular region through the casing to reduce the setting time of the cement slurry using the heat from the exothermic reaction.
