1. A method of installing an exit device to a door, the method comprising:
mounting a latch control assembly, a remote latch mechanism including a link member, and a transmission assembly including a transmission to the door;
operably coupling the transmission with the link member such that the transmission is operable to actuate the remote latch mechanism; and
engaging the latch control assembly with the transmission assembly using a lift finger and a biasing member, wherein the engaging comprises:
movably mounting the lift finger to a movable component of the latch control assembly;
maintaining the transmission in a transmission predetermined state in which the transmission is in a transmission predetermined position;
maintaining the latch control assembly in a latch control assembly predetermined state corresponding to the transmission predetermined state; and
while the transmission is in the transmission predetermined state and while the latch control assembly is in the latch control assembly predetermined state:
engaging the biasing member with the lift finger and urging the lift finger into engagement with the transmission; and
while the lift finger is in engagement with the transmission, securing the lift finger to the movable component.
