1. A press hardened component with a tensile strength Rm>1600 MPa, wherein the component is manufactured from a steel material, wherein the steel material is a boron-manganese steel, which has a carbon content >0.30 mass %, wherein the steel material is (a) hot rolled or (b) hot rolled and cold rolled to a strip with a thickness of 0.5 to 3 mm, wherein the strip has a coating of zinc or a zinc alloy directly applied to the steel material at a coating weight of <50 g/m2 on each side of the strip.
