1. A coating formulation, comprising:
a pigment;
an organic aqueous emulsion; and
an organophosphonic acid of the formula:

OG Complex Work Unit Chemistry
wherein R is an unsaturated alkyl having 2 carbon atoms to provide ethenylphosphonic acid.
