1. A system comprising:
three cases, a first case, a second case, and a third case, each case having a least a front side and a back side;
wherein:
the first case is configured as a portable switching device;
the third case is configured as a portable electronic device having a view screen;
the second case is configured to provide protection for two or more sides of the third case;
the portable switching device has embedded therein a first magnet;
the second case has embedded therein a second magnet;
the portable electronic device has embedded therein a third magnet;
the first, second, and third cases are magnetically coupled together with the second case being positioned between the first case and third case while providing protection for two or more sides of the third case and providing visibility to the view screen;
the front of the first case is applied to the back of the second case and magnetically coupled by magnetic attraction between the first and second magnets while the front of the second case is magnetically coupled to the back of the third case by the magnetic attraction between the second and third magnets;
the front of the first case magnetically couples to the back of the second case without regard to orientation;
when the front of the first case is applied to the back of the second case and magnetically coupled by magnetic attraction between the first and second magnets while the front of the second case is magnetically coupled to the back of the third case by the magnetic attraction between the second and third magnets, the portable switching device is configured to activate, actuate, or deactivate the portable electronic device, or send the portable electronic device into a power saving mode;
the portable switching device and the second case may decouple by overcoming magnetic force;
the portable electronic device has a first circuit that is activated, actuated, or deactivated by the portable switching device when the front of the first case is applied to the back of the second case and magnetically coupled by magnetic attraction between the first and second magnets while the front of the second case is magnetically coupled to the back of the third case by the magnetic attraction between the second and third magnets;
the third case is rigid and the second case that protects two or more sides of the third case is flexible and shock resistant; and
the portable electronic device comprises a member selected from the group consisting of: cell phone, smart phone, gps, or smart tablet.
