1. A flow cell, comprising: an elongate storage chamber that is partially filled with a liquid fluid up to a fluid level and in which a pressurizable gas is enclosed above the fluid level directly bordering the gas; a lower duct that connects a lower end of the storage chamber to a chamber for receiving a specimen substance to be examined; an upper duct at an upper end of the elongate storage chamber; a barrier web that closes off the lower duct and the storage chamber, wherein the lower duct and the barrier web are arranged below the fluid level, wherein the barrier web has a predetermined breaking point formed by a material-locking connection that is; a film connected to the substrate so as to form the storage chamber and the ducts, wherein the breaking point is a material-locking connection that is irreversibly ruptured when the film is deflected; and a substantially plate-shaped substrate, wherein the storage chamber and the ducts are arranged in the substrate so that when the substrate is oriented vertically the liquid in the storage space escapes by gravity from the lower duct and a pressure is introducible from the upper duct so as to assist a flow of liquid, wherein the storage chamber has a stiff, inflexible wall so that positive and negative pressure is introduced to bull by external sources to facilitate the flow of the liquid.
