1. A fire extinguishing method for a fire extinguishing system for a converter station, wherein the converter station comprises a plurality of converter transformers disposed at equal intervals and a plurality of firewalls, immediately adjacent converter transformers of the plurality of converter transformers are separated by one of the plurality of firewalls,
wherein the fire extinguishing system comprises at least one spray fire extinguishing system and at least one fire monitor based fire extinguishing system, each of the at least one spray fire extinguishing system comprises a plurality of first fire pipes and a plurality of spray pipes; each of the at least one fire monitor based fire extinguishing system comprises a plurality of second fire pipes and a plurality of fire monitors;
at least one of the plurality of fire monitors is disposed above each of the plurality of firewalls, and each of the plurality of fire monitors is connected to a corresponding one of the plurality of second fire pipes; at least one of the plurality of spray pipes is disposed on each of the plurality of firewalls, and each of the plurality of spray pipes is connected to a corresponding one of the plurality of first fire pipes; and
the plurality of fire monitors are arranged above the plurality of converter transformers to emit a fire extinguishing medium onto the plurality of converter transformers, outlets of the plurality of spray pipes are facing the plurality of converter transformers to emit the fire extinguishing medium onto lateral sides of the plurality of converter transformers; and
wherein the method comprises:
detecting whether the plurality of converter transformers are on fire;
in response to detecting that one of the plurality of converter transformers is on fire, starting the at least one spray fire extinguishing system and the at least one fire monitor based fire extinguishing system to extinguish the fire, emitting the fire extinguishing medium from the outlets of one of the plurality of spray pipes that is facing the one of the plurality of converter transformers that is on fire onto the lateral sides of the one of the plurality of converter transformers that is on fire, and emitting the fire extinguishing medium from one of the plurality of fire monitors that is facing the one of the plurality of converter transformers that is on fire onto the one of the plurality of converter transformers that is on fire.
