1. A method of producing a caffeine and N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine-based solution that is adapted for oral administration as a spray by increasing the solubility of caffeine in a liquid solution to result in a caffeine concentration of more than 0.1 g/mL in the spray that is an aerosol of the solution, comprising:
introducing an amount of N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, or an acceptable salt thereof, and the caffeine, or an acceptable salt thereof, where a molar ratio of the introduced N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine and the introduced caffeine is at least 1:1, into a liquid solvent comprising water and mixing the liquid solvent containing the N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine and caffeine, until the caffeine concentration in the liquid solvent is more than 0.1 g/mL; and
providing the caffeine and N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine-based solution for administration as a spray producing an aerosol with caffeine and N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine;
wherein the solution adapted for oral administration as a spray provides fast-onset transmission of the solution's beneficial effects.
