1. A method of treating, minimizing, or diminishing an epidermal condition related to aging in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising as an active ingredient a peptide of Formula I: pGlu-X1—X2—X3—OH or a salt or derivative thereof, wherein:
X1 is selected from the group consisting of Asn and Thr;
X2 is selected from the group consisting of Trp, Phe and Tyr; and
X3 is selected from the group consisting of Lys, Lys attached through its amino side chain to a C4-C30 alkyl group, and Thr; and a dermatologically acceptable carrier,
wherein the epidermal condition related to aging is selected from the group consisting of elastosis, atrophy of the skin, fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, sagging skin, rough skin, and dry skin.
