1. A surgical instrument, comprising:
a distal end configured to perform an action on tissue;
a drive rod;
a beam movable longitudinally in correspondence with a movement of the drive rod;
a rail extending along a longitudinal axis of the surgical instrument, wherein the rail and the beam are in a side-by-side configuration; and
a bearing movable relative to the rail, wherein at least a part of the bearing is located between the drive rod and the beam.
