1. An electrically heated smoking system comprising:
an aerosol forming substrate; and
a first heater configured to heat the aerosol forming substrate and form an aerosol, the first heater extending around a circumference of the aerosol forming substrate and being arranged at a downstream end of the aerosol forming substrate, a downstream end of the first heater and the downstream end of the aerosol forming substrate being spaced apart along the aerosol forming substrate, and the first heater having at least one substantially U-shaped segment.
