1. A method for handling a first service connection in a wireless communication system, comprising:
detecting, by a User Equipment (UE), a Mobility Management (MM) service state of the UE is set to ATTEMPTING TO UPDATE;
starting, by the UE, a timer corresponding to the MM service state being set to ATTEMPTING TO UPDATE, the timer having an expiry time;
receiving, by the UE, a paging message including an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) before the timer reaches the expiry time;
establishing, by the UE, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection with a base station to perform a second service connection associated with the paging message;
performing, by the UE, a first location area updating procedure with the base station in response to the detecting the MM service state is set to ATTEMPTING TO UPDATE, determining the timer was running when the receiving was performed, and releasing the RRC connection with the base station when the second service connection is disconnected, and a Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity (TMSI) reallocation procedure not having been performed while the RRC connection was established; and
establishing, by the UE, the first service connection with the base station using a valid TMSI obtained during the first location area updating procedure.
