1. An imaging apparatus comprising:
an illumination device having a plurality of light-emitting pixels which are individually on/off controllable, and is structured to emit a reference light having a random intensity distribution;
a photodetector structured to detect reflected light from an object; and
a processing device structured to reconstruct an image of the object, by calculating a correlation between detection intensity based on an output of the photodetector, and the random intensity distribution of the reference light, wherein
the plurality of light-emitting pixels are divided into m (m≥2) areas each containing n (n≥2) adjoining light-emitting pixels, the imaging apparatus determines and n light-emitting pixel groups are formed by selecting one light-emitting pixel from each of the m areas without overlapping, and wherein
for generating an i-th (i=1, . . . n) image of the object, an i-th light-emitting pixel group of the n light-emitting pixel groups is used, and the random intensity distribution of the reference light is controlled according to an on/off state of each pixel in the i-th light-emitting pixel group, and wherein
the imaging apparatus carries out sensing for every light-emitting pixel group, thereby generating n images.
