1. A refrigerator appliance comprising:
a cabinet defining a chilled chamber;
a door being rotatably hinged to the cabinet to provide selective access to the chilled chamber;
an audiovisual input assembly for monitoring the chilled chamber; and
a controller operably coupled to the audiovisual input assembly, the controller being configured to:
obtain a video stream and an audio stream using the audiovisual input assembly;
analyze the video stream to generate a video-based inventory change using a standard object weighting;
analyze the audio stream to generate an audio-based inventory change using the standard object weighting;
determine that the video-based inventory change matches the audio-based inventory change; and
modify an inventory list in response to determining that the video-based inventory change matches the audio-based inventory change.
