1. A rotating equipment system with drive-sense circuit (DSC) input electrical power signal sensing, the system comprising:
a rotating equipment operably coupled to receive an input electrical power signal, wherein, when enabled, the rotating equipment configured to operate based on power delivered via the input electrical power signal;
a drive-sense circuit (DSC) operably coupled to the input electrical power signal that is provided to the rotating equipment, wherein, when enabled, the DSC operably coupled and configured to:
drive a signal via a single line to a coupler that coupling of the input electrical power signal and also simultaneously to sense the signal via the single line;
based on the sensing of the signal via the single line, detect an effect on the signal that is based on an electrical characteristic of the input electrical power signal; and
generate a digital signal representative of the electrical characteristic of the electrical power signal;
a regulator operably coupled to the rotating equipment, wherein, when enabled, the regulator configured to adapt and direct operation of the rotating equipment based on control from one or more processing modules;
memory that stores operational instructions; and
the one or more processing modules operably coupled to the DSC, the memory, and the regulator, wherein, when enabled, the one or more processing modules is configured to execute the operational instructions to:
process the digital signal to determine information regarding of the electrical power signal; and
generate the control of the regulator based on the information regarding of the electrical power signal.
