1. A bearing assembly for mounting a rotor within a pump housing of a rotary blood pump, the rotor being rotatable about a rotation axis, the bearing assembly comprising:
a base body;
a bearing element, which is displaceable relative to the base body in the direction of the rotation axis, for accommodating the rotor; and
an adjusting device, which is connected to the bearing element, for displacing the bearing element in the direction of the rotation axis by a predetermined distance, the predetermined distance being ≤500 μm, wherein the adjusting device is configured to be situated so as to be operable from outside of the pump housing after installation of the bearing assembly.
